On Friday 25th October, 2013, Melbourne High School will be running a full day conference about Entrepreneurship in the Asian Century.

This inaugural conference will showcase guest speakers who will present their uplifting stories to the student body, teaching faculty and invited guests.

The following speakers will be intoduced and joined in the Q&A by Melbourne High Principal Jeremy Ludowyke.

1. Ruslan Kogan – Entrepreneur Extraordinaire – Founder of Kogan

Rusland Kogan is the founder and CEO of Kogan Technologies, a privately-owned Australian company established in 2006. After completing a Bachelor of Business Systems at Monash University, Ruslan had by the age of 23 worked at the IT departments of Bosch, GE and Telstra, and been a management consultant at Accenture. He started Kogan in his parent’s garage with zero external funding or capital.

Kogan is now Australia’s biggest online retailer. The company has offices in three continents and serves consumers in over 10 countries.

In seven years, Kogan has sold over two million products direct to Australian and international customers. Kogan is set to record over $300m in revenue this year and remains one of Australia’s fastest growing companies. Ruslan Kogan was ranked third in Australia in the BRW 2013 Young Rich List, with a self-made wealth of $315 million.

Kogan believes technology can make the world a better place, and its goal is to make the latest technology more affordable for everyone.

2. Bobby BajramMS Survivor – Longest surviving MS sufferer in the world (over 32 years). Embodies fighting adversity – multi-millionaire who lost it all due to his illness.

Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at the age of 13 – the youngest person with the disease in Australia – Bobby has bravely battled the disease for 32 years and overcome time in a wheelchair, temporary blindness and countless hospital visits. A former ambassador for the MS Society, presenter and producer of two successful documentaries on disability issues and popular motivational speaker, Bobby has made it his mission to break down the barriers and the myths surrounding disabilities and the people who live with them.

Bobby has an incredible story of survival, overcoming the odds and living life to the fullest with his own flair. Not just a story about acceptance and disability awareness, his is a story of how anyone can face life’s challenges and achieve to the best of their ability.

3. Stan ‘The Man’ Longinidis –  8 time Heavyweight Kickboxing World Champion in 3 fighting styles and recent inductee in the Sport Australia Hall of Fame.

Growing up in Altona Victoria, playing in his backyard with family and friends as a young boy, Stan The Man did not know the impact he would have not only as a pioneer in the sporting industry around the Globe but also his life changing influence for many individuals in their work and personal lives.

A dream seed dominated his mind and spirit. This fuelled his vision as he blocked out the pessimism, negativity and lack of faith from thise around him.

He made a decision. That decision was to step out of his comfort zone at the age of 18 to pursue his dream. This meant leaving his warm and loving family home in Altona, flying to Los Angeles and working harder than ever in order to begin his journey to his success, his destiny, his legacy.

Stan The Man is regarded as one of the World’s Best ever Heavyweight Kickboxing Champions in history.

On October 11, Stan ‘The Man’ received the highest national sporting honour that can be bestowed,  joining the sporting elite as he was officiclly immortalised in the Sports Australia Hall of Fame.

3. Jon-Michail, Image Coach and CEO of Image Group International.
