Celebrity chef Julie Goodwin recently rejected an offer from Jenny Craig, in a deal worth up to $250,000 a year because she doesn’t want to lose weight.

The TV cook was approached to replace the weight loss company’s ambassador Magda Szubankski but she declined, saying she was proud of her curves. “I don’t want to be thin. I don’t want to be anything different to who I am, ” the 41-year-old said.

The role has now gone to up and coming comedian Rebel Wilson, who hopes to lose 25kg.

I congratulate Goodwin for her authentic approach – If you are truly happy in your own skin, and achieving your life goals and objectives (whatever they are) then that is the ideal image for you, no matter what anyone else says or thinks. To add, Goodwin has also pointed out in numerous interviews – that she feels fit and healthy, therefore, good luck to her for having the courage to say “no”, as it was a powerful response to owning her personal brand message.

This is me, I don’t want to be thin
