Institute Background
With the world recession of the late '80's and the future uncertainty facing many organisations and their people, many "advisors" (including image) sprang up claiming to be the authorities in a diverse range of areas and saviours to the many problems facing business. With that in mind, the Institute for Image Management (a division of Image Group International), was established for this purpose. After extensive research it became evident that there was a need to offer a more structured curriculum on image management studies encompassing a holistic approach.
The Institute's primary goal is to provide a rich environment in which participants may evaluate their current operations by studying the experiences shared by other professionals and by learning the techniques and strategies offered by our advisors, coaches and faculty.
The Institute puts its' major focus not only on image studies but also on learning strong business principles and how the industry is affected by the world business environment, career and employment opportunities and the nature of personal relationships and their effect on human behaviour. The Institute is about "learning by doing; experience-based education".
The Institute offers an accelerated part-time commitment to study The Seven Aspects of Authentic Image Management™ (AIM™). The Institute's academic philosophy emphasises enrichment of ethical values, expansion of personal responsibility and continuing education on image studies. The curriculum is designed to prepare participants for employment as image consultants, advisors and coaches and for the private or public practice of image advising. Emphasis is on small group interaction and
enrolment is limited.
